L’idea del CEPI è di Barre Phillips, musicista improvvisatore che vive nel Sud della Francia, a St. Philomène, vicino Puget-Ville e che ha fondato un Centre Européen Pour l’Improvisation proprio a partire dall’Abbazia in cui abita e dal Villaggio medievale circostante da ristrutturare. Il CEPI è aperto a tutte le pratiche di improvvisazione in qualsiasi ambito, artistico o sociale. Hanno contribuito a questa iniziativa l’Associazione Bassa Definizione di Lecco e numerosi musicisti dei gruppi di improvvisazione musicale Emir (Francia) e Fête Foreign (Italia), entrambi nati grazie all’impulso di Barre Phillips.

At the end of last year, Zaha Hadid Architects unveiled their tower proposal for the city ofMelbourne (Australia). Realized with local Plus Architecture and developed by Landream, the 582-606 Collins Street’ Tower is one step closer to receiving the go-ahead with construction. Proposed for the city’s central business direct, the mixed-use tower will house shops, offices and apartments with a significant proportion of the ground plane given over to public realm, with external area dedicated to a plaza accessible 24 hours a day.
