This paper sets out to explore certain difficulties that arise when translating cultural elements as constituent units of a work of fiction. Commercial leaflets can make or break the image of the product and the reputation of the company. Translated literally from the Indonesian text, the English text of this leaflet violated Nida's (1964) four requirements of translation. Not only does the translation contain some grammatical mistakes, it also contains inappropriate lexical choices.
