Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs
Henri Matisse is a giant of modern art. This landmark show explores the final chapter in his career in which he began “carving into colour” and his series of spectacular cut-outs was born. The exhibition represents a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see so many of the artist’s works in one place and discover Matisse’s final artistic triumph. From snowflowers to dancers, circus scenes and a famous snail, the exhibition showcases a dazzling array of 120 works made between 1936 and 1954. Bold, exuberant and often large in scale, the cut-outs have an engaging simplicity coupled with incredible creative sophistication.

Born on a rainy February afternoon in Kuwait 1988, Farah Alhashim finds her voice inBeirut. Award-Winning Filmmaker, journalist and writer, she graduated with a BA inCommunication Arts emphasis (journalism) from the Lebanese American University inBeirut 2009 and with an MFA (Masters of Fine Arts) in cinematography and filmmaking fromNew York Film Academy attending both campuses in New York and Universal Studios,Hollywood.

CADI’s 1911 Revolution Museum
1911 Revolution Museum is a themed museum built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Revolution of 1911 Shouyi, Wuchang. Located at the south side of Shouyi Square,Wuchang District, Wuhan, the Museum, together with the former address of Wuchang Uprising Military Government (the Red Building), the Bronze Statue of Sun Yat-sen, theCommander Title Granting Monument and the Martyrs Memorial Archway, constitute the sparkling cultural symbols of Shouyi Square. It is the museum enjoying the largest scale, best display technology, most reproduced scenes and most complete visiting guide system among all the museums themed with the Revolution of 1911.

Horticultural Expo Pavilion by UNStudio
The World Horticultural Expo 2014 takes place in the Chinese city of Qingdao (from Aprilto October 2014) and is expected to attract 15 million international visitors. The main theme of the expo is “From the Earth, For the Earth” and aims to encourage the exchange ofculture, technology and horticultural knowledge. In its design for the Theme PavilionUNStudio combines expert knowledge of logistics, spatial organisation, specialised typology, future flexible usability, function programming, façade intelligence, user comfort and sustainability.
